I offer telehealth to all of my clients. I do not provide in-person sessions.
I offer a 15-minute free consultation for both the client and myself.
I accept commercial plans for UnitedHealthcare and Blue Cross Blue Shield. I will provide a super bill for sessions not covered by insurance.
Sessions typically last 50-55 minutes. EMDR sessions usually last 90 minutes. I do not accept insurance for EMDR.
Therapy varies from person to person, depending on your treatment goals and progress.
A treatment plan is developed based on your individual goals and assessment of your needs. The selected interventions are tailored to your specific needs and goals.
The first session is an exploration of what brought you to therapy and the initiation of the therapeutic alliance. I use unconditional regard and active listening. This session establishes the relationship between the client and therapist and involves a discovery process to understand the client’s needs.
In my 22 years of practice, I have had numerous trainings that have enabled me to tailor interventions to your goals. Examples are EMDR, psychoanalysis, and somatic experiencing. I select from numerous trauma-informed interventions when indicated.
Information will not be shared without a release of information from you identifying any records you want to share.
I provide individual, couples, and family therapy. My training in relational interventions enables me to treat individuals in couples or family therapy using relational models, which is a unique and specialized approach. I do not offer group therapy, but I can provide referrals for those interested in this option.
Clients may confuse a psychologist with a psychiatrist due to the title of DR. I do not prescribe medication. However, I can refer you to a medical professional if I believe medication may be beneficial.
I will develop a treatment plan that includes outcome measures based on the client’s goals and indicated interventions.
